Embodied Psychology
Embodied Psychology is Relational Psychodynamic Therapy that integrates Yoga, Ayurveda, Astrology, Energy Medicine, and Herbalism. It evaluates how what we consume creates our very being, from food to ideas. The philosophy of Embodied Psychology recognizes the bodymind as constituted by both bodies of knowledge and our sociocultural practices. Embodied psychology is committed to social and environmental justice, and seeks to usher in new interpretations of the body politic.
Embodied psychology sees language and experience as mutually constitutive, and inextricable. Words spoken resonate in the body, the body being the instrument that makes our interpretations tangible, tactile even. Embodied Psychology understands language as the articulation of felt meaning. Furthermore, Embodied Psychology considers our development as undeniably shaped by the movement of astral bodies. Treatment within the framework of Embodied Psychology re-members, or puts the many limbs of the bodymind back together into a cohesive whole
